CENTERBRAND: The centerbrand of the bats for this time period bear the company's name
"kc Slammer" with a ® symbol following the "r" in "Slammer." Below the word "Slammer"
is found either the word "Pro" or the words "Pro XL." The "XL" designation means that the
bat has been lacquered 5 times rather than 1 time. It is alleged that the additional
lacquering promotes longevity in the bats.
BARREL: The barrel labeling bore the player's name in ¼ inch lettering with no team names.
KNOB: Knob labeling for bats during this era was stamped into the knob in a manner similar
to Rawlings bats or Worth bats. If a player was a consistent user of a single length bat
then his initials would be stamped in the knob. If the player ordered different length bats
than the last number in the length would be placed there instead. If there is a half inch
extra length then the numeral is underlined. Under the length or player's initials is the
model number which the company allows the player to choose. Below that is the last number
in the weight, again if there is an extra half of an ounce the numeral would be underlined.
STRIPES: All KC Slammer bats have stripes, during this era one stripe was approx 1/8 of an
inch and the other ¼ of an inch to the left of the centerbrand with the thicker stripe
closest to the centerbrand.
1995
CENTERBRAND: The centerbrand again bore the name "kc" "Slammer" with the "kc" located above
the first "m" in "Slammer." A background triangle was added to the label and the ®
symbol continues to follow the "r" in "Slammer." Bats shipped out of the United States
(to teams such as the Expos or Toronto) bear a small "U.S.A." at the bottom right of the
triangle in the centerbrand, parallel to the word "Slammer."

BARREL: The bats during this era have the team name below the player's name on the barrel. The player's name is not a facsimile of his signature. The city where the team is located is not added to the team name (ie "Red Sox" not "Boston Red Sox"). (Note: some bats will just have the team name, indicating they were purchased by the team for general use).
STRIPES: The wide stripe closest to the centerbrand was widened to ½ inch.
1996
CENTERBRAND: The sole change was to make the words "Made in the USA" (for bats shipped
outside the United States) perpendicular rather than parallel to the "Slammer," along the
right edge of the triangle.

BARREL: The city name was added to the team name but in all other ways the bats stayed
the same.
