COMMENTS FROM OUR ADORING PUBLIC!!

"I've been collecting gamers for about 6 years and patiently waiting for someone to start a web page, thanks a bunch!!"

"Just wanted to tell you that I think you have a great website. It's good to come across a site like yours after wading through so much garbage."

". . . [Gamers is] a web site in which collectors/dealers can share information on bat labeling and possibly to buy, trade or sell bats in the future. I have visited [the Gamers] web site and I was very impressed with the design and the time spent to produce such an enormous project." Tim Lee, "The Equipment Manager," Sports Collectors Digest, April 17, 1998

"I have been around a lot of auctions and card shows, and I never got as much info than I did from your website . . . I look forward to visiting again and again."

"I have enjoyed your website very much and their is none better on the web . . . . Keep up the good work . . . ."

"Once again your site is great and I appreciate the effort that goes into them as I have my own little site from hell . . . ."

"My son and I are new to bat collecting, and we have thoroughly enjoyed your web site. We are learning quite a bit from it, as well as from Vince Malta's book Bats. You have done a very impressive job, and we look forward to any additions to it."

THE EMERGENCE OF BAT COLLECTING

For the uninitiated who have not sped away on the information highway, game used bats are an area of growing popularity among collectors of baseball memorabilia. Unlike a card, which is mass produced in the millions, or an autograph, which is -- by all recent reports -- oftentimes forged, a bat is unique in its scarcity and difficulty to recreate. (Besides, what is the return on a forged Jack Baker or Buddy Hunter bat?) Also, a bat, unlike an autograph or a card, can be handled without appreciable decrease in value.

This site is intended to educate and inform the collectors of game used bats by bringing together several different sources of information in one site. Further, the site is designed to promote the interaction of collectors through discussion and resources such as the Classifieds section. Please feel free to forward any comments or suggestions you have regarding the site!
